1. Please contact 157 Audio for rate information, including hourly rates and packages designed to fit your budget and meet your needs.  The artist is welcome to attend the mix session and suggestions are welcomed, although it may be more productive and beneficial to allow for a first mix then offer opinions after listening for a length of time and on different playback systems. 157 Audio is committed to making the artists’ product realize the artists’ vision. Advice will be offered if the artists’ requests are opposing industry standards, although any idea will be tried. It is my job to achieve your vision.

2. Mp3 files of mixes will be provided to the artist for approval via ftp or email if the artist is not present for the mix. CD’s and session file backups will be provided upon full payment only unless otherwise agreed in writing. 157 Audio respectfully requests that you refrain from releasing rough mixes or mp3’s before payment is finalized.

3. 157 audio provides hard drive storage for the length of the project only. Session files will be provided upon completion of the project on DVD and a hard drive supplied by the artist if desired, at the rate of $25 per hour for backup and transfer services. 2 weeks after the completion of the project, all files will be deleted from the 157 audio drives and the 157 audio ftp server. The artist also has the option of providing an audio approved hard drive at the beginning of the project, in which case there will be no backup fee. The hard drive should be an external firewire or USB2 IDE hard drive of at least 7200 rpm. Capacity of the drive should be large enough to hold the project; a good general guideline would be to buy the biggest capacity drive within your budget. If any assistance is needed 157 Audio is happy to provide assistance with this process at no charge.

4. If a live recording at a venue is contracted, 157 Audio will need to be provided with the contact information of the relevant parties to confirm technical requirements and details as well as any rules the venue may have regarding appointments. If possible, a preliminary visit to the venue at a comparable time to your event will be made.

5. The working rate includes: setup and clean up time (157 Audio is continually striving to streamline these processes to save time and money), recording time, mixing and any additional services required.

6. 157 Audio provides working equipment consistent with the hourly and package  rate which will give a good quality, clean recording. If additional equipment is desired by the artist, rental of said equipment will be the sole financial responsibility of the artist in accordance with the rental company’s rates. In addition, the condition of the equipment throughout the project will be the responsibility of the artist. 157 Audio will not intentionally misuse equipment and will ensure that any technical requirements or instructions are researched prior to the use of rented equipment. Equipment rented by the artist will not be used for any other project by 157 Audio unless a written agreement is in place allowing this.

7. 157 Audio will not use artist files or songs for promotional or any other without written permission from the artist. Any material used with permission will be fully credited to the artist and a link to the artist’s website will be provided for cross-promotional purposes.
